Yes — Route Optimization is available as an optional paid add-on. From the dispatch board, click "Optimize" on any technician’s day with two or more stops. ServGround calls Google’s Routes API to compute the most efficient drive order, then opens a review drawer showing the proposed sequence, per-stop ETAs, total drive time, and total distance. Click Apply to commit the new order — the schedule and the field portal both reorder automatically. Route Optimization is an optional add-on, sold as a monthly optimization allowance. $39/month includes 60 optimizations — about 2 every working day. An optimization is one technician’s route for one day, and there’s no per-person limit: the allowance is a workspace-wide pool, so you can optimize any technician you like. Need more? When should I use Route Optimization?

Route Optimization pays off when a technician has three or more stops on the same day spread across a service area where drive time is non-trivial. The optimizer uses real Google Maps drive times — not straight-line distance — so it accounts for highways, traffic patterns, and one-way streets. For single-stop days, dense urban routes where drive times are similar, or routes you’ve already manually sequenced, the savings are smaller. Most field service businesses see the biggest gains on full-day routes with five or more stops.

Is my business data secure on ServGround?

Yes. Your data is stored on Amazon Web Services (AWS) and encrypted, both while it sits there and while it travels between your device and our servers. Each business has its own account, and your records are walled off at the database level, so no other ServGround customer can see your clients, invoices, or reports. Your documents are kept in private storage, and the links your clients use expire. Your data is backed up automatically, and you can turn on two-step sign-in for extra protection.

Can I download all of my data?

Yes. Your data belongs to you. The account owner goes to Settings, then Data Export, and clicks Download everything. ServGround gathers your proposals, contracts, invoices, and reports as PDFs, the files attached to them and your projects, and spreadsheets of your clients, requests, projects, invoices, and payments that open in Excel. It all comes as one ZIP file, and we email you when it is ready. If you ever cancel, you can still download your data for 90 days after your plan ends.

How does ServGround protect my clients’ payment information?

ServGround never stores, processes, or has access to credit card numbers. All payment processing is handled entirely by Stripe, a PCI DSS Level 1 certified payment processor. Your business name appears on your clients’ bank statements via statement descriptor suffixes, so they always recognize the charge — reducing chargebacks and confusion.

How do my clients access their portal securely?

Your clients log into their portal using secure magic links — unique, one-click login links sent directly to their email. There are no passwords to create, remember, or steal. Each link expires within 24 hours and can only be used once. The portal is also protected by CAPTCHA technology to block bots, file upload validation to prevent dangerous file types, and input sanitization to guard against common web attacks.

Does ServGround support Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA)?

What QuickBooks data does ServGround sync?

ServGround syncs three types of records to QuickBooks Online: Clients (as Customers), Invoices (with line items, amounts, and due dates), and Payments (both Stripe online payments and manually recorded payments like check, cash, or Zelle).
